મુંબઈઃ ગુજરાતમાં ડભોઈ નજીક હોટલનો ખાળકૂવો સાફ કરવા ઉતરેલા સાત યુવકોના મોત નીપજ્યાં હતાં. આ ઘટના પર અફસોસ વ્યક્ત કરતાં બિઝનેસમેન આનંદ મહિન્દ્રાએ એક ટ્વીટ કરી હતી. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે માનવજીવનની આટલી દુર્દશા ઘણી છે. મેં એક સફાઈ કરનાર મશીન અંગે ટ્વીટ કરી હતી, જે કેટલાંક વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ બનાવ્યું હતું. જોકે, તેનો કેમ ઉપયોગ કરવામાં નથી આવતો. જો પૈસાની જરૂર હોય તો મારું નામ જરૂરથી ગણો.

આનંદ મહિન્દ્રાની ટ્વીટ પર અમિતાભ બચ્ચને કહ્યું હતું, આનંદ…મેં બીએમસીને 25 મશીન્સ તથા એક ટ્રક ગીફ્ટમાં આપી હતી. આમાં મશીનો પ્રત્યેક વ્યક્તિને આપવામાં આવી હતી અને ટ્રક બીએમસીને. આ તમામ વસ્તુઓ ઔરંગાબાદની એક કંપનીએ બનાવી હતી. મેં આ વાતનો ક્યારેય પ્રચાર નથી કર્યો કારણ કે આ ભેટ એટલા માટે નહોતી આપી. જોકે, દિવસે દિવસે થતી બદનસીબ ઘટનાઓને કારણે આ વાત કહેવી જરૂરી હતી.
