નંદુરબારઃ મહારાષ્ટ્રના અનેક જિલ્લામાં છેલ્લાં ત્રણ-ચાર દિવસથી ધોધમાર વરસાદ વરસી રહ્યો છે. વરસાદને કારણે અનેક જગ્યાએ ભૂસ્ખલન થતાં રસ્તાઓ બંધ થઈ ગયા છે. લોકોનો સંપર્ક તૂટી ગોય છે. કોઈ વાહનની અવરજવર થઈ શકતી નથી. આ દરમિયાન નંદુરબાર જિલ્લામાંથી હૃદયને ચીરી નાખતી એક તસવીર સામે આવી છે. અહીંયા એક લાચાર પતિ પત્નીને ખભા પર ઊંચકીને જતો જોવા મળ્યો હતો.
પતિએ જે કર્યું તે માર્મિક હતુંઃ આ માર્મિક તસવીર નંદુરબાર જિલ્લાના ચાંદસૈલી વિસ્તારની છે. અહીંયા ભારે વરસાદ પડતો હતો અને તેથી જ તમામ રસ્તાઓ બંધ હતા. અહીંયા રહેતા એક વૃદ્ધની પત્ની સિદલીબાઈની અચાનક તબિયત ખરાબ થી હતી. રસ્તા બધા જ ધોવાઈ ગયા હતા. આથી પતિએ પત્નીને ખભે ઊંચકી લીધી હતી.
અટકી ગયા શ્વાસઃ જ્યારે વરસાદને કારણે તમામ રસ્તાઓ બંધ હતા ત્યારે માત્ર એક કાચો રસ્તો ખુલ્લો હતો. વૃદ્ધે પત્નીને ખભા પર નાખીને હોસ્પિટલ લઈ જવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. તેઓ અડધે રસ્તે ગયા, પરંતુ મોડું થઈ જવાને કારણે પત્નીનું રસ્તામાં જ મોત થઈ ગયું હતું.
પત્નીના શબને ખભે રાખ્યુંઃ પત્નીનું મોત થયા બાદ વૃદ્ધે રસ્તા વચ્ચે લાશ મૂકી હતી અને રડતો હતો. તે પોતાના નસીબ અને સરકારને દોષ આપતો હતો. કોઈ તેની મદદે આવ્યું નહોતું. અંતે વૃદ્ધ ખભા પર પત્નીની લાશ મૂકીને ગામ પરત ફર્યા હતાં.
