હાઇકોર્ટની નોટિસ બાદ ચાણસ્મા પોલીસે અંજુ પટેલ અને તેના પ્રેમી બેચર પટેલને પોલીસ મથકે બોલાવીને કડકાઈથી પૂછપરછ કરતા બેચર પટેલે તેની પ્રેમિકા અંજુ પટેલ સાથે મળી તેના પતિ દશરથ પટેલની કરરરપીણ હમત્યા કરી લામશને ખેતરમાં દાટી દીધી હોવાનું કબુલાત કરી હતી.
બેચર પટેલ તેની પ્રેમિકા અંજુ સાથે મળીને હલલત્યા કરી હોવાનું કબૂલાત કરતાં મામલતદાની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં ખેતરોથી મૃરતકનું કંકકકાલ બહાર કાઢવામાં આવ્યું હતું અને ચાણસ્મા પોલીસે ચાણસ્મા આરોગ્ય કેન્દ્રના ડોક્ટરનું પંચનામુ કરી બંને પ્રેમી પંખીડા સામે હમત્યાનો ગુનો દાખલ કરી જેલના સળિયા પાછળ ધકેલી દેવામાં આવ્યા છે.
