અમદાવાદ: છેલ્લા એક મહિનાથી ગુજરાતમાં ગરમીનો પ્રકોપ યથાવત છે ત્યારે હાલ અરબી સમુદ્રમાં વેરાવળથી 900 કીલોમીટર દુર ડીપ્રેશન રચાયું હોય આગામી 48 કલાકમાં વાવાઝોડા સાથે વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે. જેમા 100 કિલોમીટરની ઝડપે પવન ફૂંકાવાની સાથે ભારે વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે.
સંભવિત પરિસ્થિતિને ધ્યાને લઈ મહેસૂલ વિભાગના અધિક મુખ્ય સચિવ પંકજ કુમારે એક સમીક્ષા બેઠકમાં સમગ્ર પરિસ્થિતિની માહિતી મેળવી હતી. હવામાનશાસ્ત્રીઓએ આ વાવાઝોડાંને ‘વાયુ’ નામ આપ્યું છે હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે. ‘વાયુ’ વાવાઝોડાને પગલે બંદરો પર એક નંબરનું સિગ્નલ લગાવી દેવામાં આવ્યું છે.
હવામાન વિભાગના જણાવ્યા પ્રમાણે, પવનની ગતિ પ્રતિ કલાક 80થી 100 કિમીની રહેવાની શક્યતા છે. આ દરમિયાન કેટલીક જગ્યાએ વરસાદ પડવાની પણ શક્યતા જોવા મળી રહી છે. વાવાઝોડાની શક્યતાને પગલે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છના દરિયાકિનારાના વિસ્તારોમાં સીઆરપીએફ, હવાઈદળ, કોસ્ટગાર્ડ, એનડીઆરએફ, એસડીઆરએફની ટુકડીઓને સ્ટેન્ડ બાય કરી દેવામાં આવી છે તેવું મહેસૂલ વિભાગના અધિક મુખ્ય સચિવ પંકજકુમારે જણાવ્યું હતું.
રાજ્ય સરકાર ભારતના હવામાન ખાતા અને ઈસરોની સાથે સતત સંપર્કમાં છે અને પરિસ્થિતિ પર નજર રાખી રહી છે. સામાન્ય રીતે એપ્રિલથી ડિસેમ્બર દરમિયાન ભારતમાં વાવાઝોડા આવતા હોય છે અને સૌથી વધુ વાવાઝોડાં એપ્રિલથી જૂન અને સપ્ટેમ્બરથી ડિસેમ્બરના ગાળામાં આવે છે.
