નવી દિલ્હી: ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટીના વરિષ્ઠ નેતા અને ભૂતપૂર્વ વિદેશમંત્રી સુષ્મા સ્વરાજનું મંગળવારે રાત્રે હાર્ટ એટેકથી નિધન થયું હતું. તેમને છાતીમાં દુખાવાની ફરિયાદ બાદ એમ્સમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. તેઓ 67 વર્ષના હતા. આજે ત્રણ વાગ્યે તેમેના અંતિમ સંસ્કાર થશે.
નાદુરસ્ત તબીયતના કારણે સુષ્મા સ્વરાજને તુરંત દિલ્હીની એમ્સ હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. ડૉક્ટરોની એક ટીમ તેમની સ્થિતિ પર સતત નજર રાખી રહી હતી, પણ તેમને બચાવી શકાયા નહોતા. સુષ્મા સ્વરાજના પાર્થિવ દેહને એમ્સમાંથી તેમના ઘરે લાવવામાં આવ્યો હતો. ભાજપના કાર્યકારી અધ્યક્ષ જે પી નડ્ડાએ કહ્યું કે બુધવાર 12થી 3 વાગ્યા સુધી સુષ્મા સ્વરાજના પાર્થિવ દેહને ભાજપ મુખ્યાલયમાં અંતિમ દર્શન માટે રાખવામાં આવશે. ત્યાર બાદ ત્રણ વાગ્યે તેમના અંતિમ સંસ્કાર થશે.
સુષ્મા સ્વરાજ છેલ્લાં ઘણા સમયથી બીમાર હતા તેમની કીડની ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ પણ થઈ હતી. બીમારીના કારણે જ તેમણે 2019ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણી લડી નહોતી. વર્ષ 2014માં સુષ્મા સ્વરાજને વિદેશ મંત્રાલયનો હવાલો મળ્યો હતો. બીજેપીના શાસન દરમિયાન સુષ્મા દિલ્હીના મુખ્યમંત્રી પણ રહી ચૂક્યા હતા. તેમણે દિલ્હીના પહેલાં મુખ્યમંત્રી બનવાનું ગૌરવ પ્રાપ્ત કર્યું હતું.
સુષ્મા સ્વરાજના નામે છે અનેક કીર્તિમાન
14 ફેબ્રુઆરી, 1952ના રોજ જન્મેલા સુષ્મા સ્વરાજના નામે ઘણા કીર્તિમાન છે, જેને માટે દેશ તેમને યાદ કરશે. 1977માં જ્યારે તેઓ 25 વર્ષના હતા, ત્યારે ભારતના સૌથી ઓછી ઉંમરના કેબિનેટ મંત્રી બન્યા હતા. તેમને 1977થી 1979 સુધી સામાજિક કલ્યાણ, શ્રમ અને રોજગાર જેવા 8 મંત્રાલય મળ્યા હતા. ત્યાર પછી 27 વર્ષની ઉંમરમાં 1979માં તેઓ હરિયાણામાં જનતા પાર્ટીના રાજ્ય અધ્યક્ષ પણ બન્યા હતા.
સુષ્મા સ્વરાજના નામે જ રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્તરની રાજકીય પાર્ટીના પહેલા મહિલા પ્રવક્તા બનવાનું ગૌરવ પ્રાપ્ત થયું હતું. આ ઉપરાંત સુષ્મા સ્વરાજ પહેલાં મહિલા મુખ્યમંત્રી, કેન્દ્રીય કેબિનેટ મંત્રી અને વિપક્ષના પહેલાં મહિલા નેતા બન્યા હતા.
ઈન્દિરા ગાંધી પછી સુષ્મા સ્વરાજ બીજા એવા મહિલા હતા, જેમણે વિદેશ મંત્રીનું પદ સંભાળ્યું હતું. છેલ્લાં ચાર દશકામાં તેઓ 11 ચૂંટણી લડ્યા હતા. જેમાં ત્રણ વખત વિધાનસભાની ચૂંટણી લડ્યા હતા અને જીત્યા હતા. સુષ્મા સ્વરાજ સાત વખત સાંસદ રહી ચૂક્યા છે.
