સામાન્ય રીતે ચુંટણી આવે ત્યારે ઉમેદવારો દ્રારા સરકારે નિયત કરલ ખર્ચની અનેકગણા ખર્ચાઓ મતદારોને રીઝવવા માટે કરતા હોય છે. પછી ભલે ચુંટણી સામાન્ય હોય પરંતુ ઉના તાલુકાના સૈયદ રાજપરા ગ્રામ પંચાયતની ચુંટણીમાં સરપંચ તરીકે ઉમેદવારી નોધાવનાર 34 વર્ષના યુવાને સમગ્ર ચુંટણી દરમ્યાન અને અંતમાં મતગણતરી સુધીમાં ફક્ત રૂ.130 નો ખર્ચ કરી વિજેતા બન્યા હતા.
ગામના 34 વર્ષના સામાન્ય યુવાન ભરતભાઇ વાઘજીભાઇ કામળીયાએ સરપંચ તરીકે પોતાની ઉમેદવારી નોધાવી. અને મિત્રોના સહકારથી તમામ વોર્ડના ઉમેદવારોની પેનલ બનાવી અને ત્રીપાંખિયા ચુંટણી જંગના મડાણ થયા જ્યારે સામા પક્ષે અનુભવ અને સક્ષમ ઉમેદવારો ચુંટણી જંગમાં જ્યારે ભરતભાઇ અને તેમની ટીમે પણ પ્રચારના શ્રીગણેશ કર્યા પ્રચાર દરમિયાન પણ મતદારોને રીઝવવા કોઇ પણ પ્રકારનો નેગેટીવ પ્રચાર કર્યો નહોતો. ચૂંટણીમાં લોકોએ સારા એવા મત આપ્યા હતા.અને તેમનો 384 મતથી વિજય થયો હતો.
આ ભરતભાઇ કામળીયાએ ગામમાં 10 દિવસ સુધી મતદારોને મળી સમસ્યાઓની વાત કરી હતી. અને ચૂંટાશું તો કામ કરવાનો સંકલ્પ લીધો હતો. મતગણતરી દરમિયાન આ ઉમેદવારનાં ખીસ્સામાં 20 રૂપિયા હતા અને તેમની પણ પાણીની બોટલ મંગાવી હતી. કુલ 130નો જ ખર્ચ થયો હતો. સ્લીપ અને બિનરનો ખર્ચ તેમના મિત્રોએ કર્યો હતો.
ચૂંટણી બાદ આગેવાનો તેમનું હારતોરા કરી સન્માન કરવા ગયા હતા. પરંતુ ભરતભાઈએ હાર પહેરવાની ના પાડી કહ્યું હતું કે, જે પૈસા આ હારનાં થાય તેમનું ઘાસ લઈ ગાયોને ખવડાવજો. આ ઉપરાંત ગામમાં પાણીની સમસ્યા તેમજ શાળામાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટને લઈ ઉચ્ચકક્ષાએ રજૂઆત કરી આ પ્રશ્નોનો હલ કરવાની ખાતરી આપી હતી.
