ધાનેરામાં રહેતા એક પરીવાર યુવકની પત્નિ તેને છોડીને ચાલી જતાં પરિવારજનોએ એક મહિલા અને પુરૂષની મધ્યસ્થીથી બીજા લગ્ન કરાવ્યા હતા. જોકે, સગાઇના નાણાં લીધા પછી લગ્ન કરાવ્યા હતા. જે બાદ પત્નીની માતાને ઓપરેશન કરાવવાના બ્હાને નાણાંની માંગણી કરી કુલ રૂપિયા 8 લાખ લઇ તેણી પિયર જતી રહી હતી. અને ઉલ્ટાની પતિ, સાસુ અને બે જેઠ સામે પાલનપુર મહિલા પોલીસ મથકે અરજી કરી હતી. પોતાની સાથે છેતરપીંડી થઇ હોવાનું જણાતાં આખરે યુવકની માતાએ પુત્રની પત્ની સહિત બે સામે ધાનેરા પોલીસ મથકે ફરિયાદ નોંધાવી હતી.
ધાનેરાની અંબિકાનગર સોસાયટી ખાતે રહેતા શારદાબેન શિવરામભાઇ ચુનિલાલ ત્રિવેદીના દિકરા રાજેશના લગ્ન થયેલ હતા પરંતુ તેની પત્ની રાજેશના મા-બાપના ઘરે આવવા માંગતી ન હોવાથી છુંટુ થયું હતું. જેથી તેમના પરીવારજનો રાજેશ માટે એક સંસ્કારી વહુ મળે તેની શોધમાં હતા.
તેમના નજીકના સગા એવા રામસણ ગામના હસમુખભાઇ તારાચંદભાઇ ત્રિવેદીને આ વાત કરતાં હસમુખભાઇએ આ બાબતે ગોઠવી આપવાની વાત કરેલ અને તેમને મોબાઇલ ઉપર છોકરીઓના ફોટા બતાવેલ અને તેમાંથી એક છોકરી પસંદ પડતા રાજેશને પરણાવવાનું નક્કી કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
હસમુખભાઇને હાથ ખર્ચ માટે 10 હજાર રુપિયા પણ આપ્યા હતા અને તા.2 માર્ચના રોજ હસમુખભાઇ અને તેમની સાથે નડીયાદના સરોજબેન બાબુલાલ મોચી તથા એક યુવતી જેનું નામ કવિતા પ્રકાશભાઇ કોનગારી (રહે.અમદાવાદ) આવ્યા અને રાજેશના લગ્ન માટે ધાનેરા તાલુકાના ચારડા ગામે એક મંદિરમાં પુજારીની હાજરીમાં લગ્ન કરાવેલ અને તેના માટે 3 લાખ રૂપિયા પણ આપેલ અને તે છોકરીને મુકીને જતા રહ્યા હતા. અને તેના પછી ફરી પાંચમા દિવસે આવેલ અને કહેલ કે કવિતાની માતા બીમાર છે એટલે કવિતાને લઇ ગયા અને તેઓ ચાર દિવસ પછી ફરીથી કવિતા સાથે આવેલ અને તેની માતાના ઓપરેશન માટે પાંચ લાખ ઉછીના આપવા માટે જણાવ્યું હતું.
જેથી વિશ્વાસમાં આવીને પાંચ લાખ રૂપિયા આપેલ અને કવિતા તથા તે બન્ને શખસો અમદાવાદ ગયા હતા. અને તેના પછી પાછા આવેલ નહી. જેથી રાજેશ તથા તેની માતાએ કવિતાને ફોન કરતાં તે આવી જસે એવી વાતો કરી હતી. પરંતુ તે આવેલ નહી અને ઉપરથી પાલનપુર મહીલા પોલીસ મથકમાં શારદાબેન તથા તેમના ત્રણેય દિકરાઓ સામે અરજી આપી હતી. પોતાની સાથે છેતરપીંડી થઇ હોવાનો ખ્યાલ આવતાં આખરે શારદાબેને આ કવિતા અને તેના બે સાગીરતો સામે ફરિયાદ નોંધાવતા પોલીસે તપાસ હાથ ધરી હતી.
