રાજકોટ જિલ્લાના ઉપલેટા નજીક ગમખ્વાર અકસ્માત થયો છે. પૂરપાટ ઝડપે આવી રહેલી ઇકો કારનું અચાનક જ ટાયર ફાટતા પલ્ટી મારી ઢસડાઇ હતી અને કારનો એક બાજુનો આખો ભાગ જ ચીરાઇ ગયો હતો. પોરબંદર હાઈવેથી ઉપલેટા તરફ ઇકો કાર આવી રહી હતી અને તેમાં પાંચ લોકો સવાર હતા. આ દુર્ઘટનામાં ફરવા નીકળેલું ભાવિ દંપતી લિખિતાબેન કમલેશભાઈ નિમાવત અને અર્જુનભાઈ કૌશિકભાઈ નિરંજનીનું ઘટનાસ્થળે જ કમકમાટીભર્યું મોત નીપજ્યું હતું. જ્યારે ત્રણ વ્યક્તિને ઇજા પહોંચતા ઉપલેટા સરકારી હોસ્પિટલે ખસેડાયા હતા. પરંતુ બેની હાલત ગંભીર જણાતા વધુ સારવાર માટે રાજકોટ હોસ્પિટલ ખસેડાયા છે.
પ્રાપ્ત માહિતી અનુસાર પોરબંદર હાઈવે તરફથી ઉપલેટા બાજુ આવી રહેલી ઇકો કારનું અચાનક ટાયર ફાટી ગયું હતું. ટાયર ફાટવાને કારણે કાર પલ્ટી મારી ગઈ હતી. કારમાં સવાર બે લોકોના મોત થયા છે. જેમાં એક યુવક અને એક યુવતી સામેલ છે.
આ બંનેની સગાઈ થઇ ગઇ છે અને થોડા સમય પછી જ લગ્ન કરવાના હતા. જ્યારે અન્ય ત્રણને પણ ઈજા પહોંચી છે. ભાવિ દંપતીના મોતની સાથે અન્ય ત્રણ વ્યક્તિઓને ઈજા પહોંચતા ઉપલેટા સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલ ખાતે ખસેડવામાં આવ્યા હતા. જેમાં અકસ્માતમાં ઈજાઓ પહોંચેલ ત્રણ વ્યકિતઓમાંથી બે વ્યક્તિને વધુ સારવાર અર્થે રાજકોટ હોસ્પિટલ ખાતે ખસેડાયા હતા.
ગણોદ પાટીયા નજીક દ્વારકેશ હોટલ પાસે આ દુર્ઘટના સર્જાઈ હતી. અકસ્માત એટલો ગંભીર હતો કે ઇકો કારના એક ભાગના પતરા ચીરાઇ ગયા હતા.
અકસ્માતની જાણ થતા 108 તેમજ હાઇવે પેટ્રોલિંગ, મેડિકલ સ્ટાફ ઘટના સ્થળે દોડી આવ્યો હતો અને ઈજાગ્રસ્તોને ઉપલેટા હોસ્પિટલમાં સારવાર માટે ખસેડવામાં આવ્યા હતા. હાલ તો પોલીસે અકસ્માતનો ગુનો નોંધી વધુ તપાસ હાથ ધરી છે.
