આંધ્રપ્રદેશના પૂર્વ મુખ્યમંત્રી અને તેલુગુ દેશમ પાર્ટી (TDP)ના અધ્યક્ષ ચંદ્રબાબુ નાયડુના સરકારી આવાસ ‘પ્રજા વેદિકા’ને અડધી રાતથી તોડવામાં આવ્યું છે. વિદેશ યાત્રાથી પરત ફર્યા બાદ ચંદ્રબાબુ નાયડુ ‘પ્રજા વેદિકા’ પહોંચ્યા છે. આ સ્થળ પર ટીડીપીના સેંકડો કાર્યકર્તા પણ હાજર છે. વિરોધની વચ્ચે એક જેસીબી, 6 ટ્રક અને 30 મજૂર બિલ્ડિંગને તોડી રહ્યાં છે.

મુખ્યમંત્રી વાઈએસ જગનમોહન રેડ્ડીએ ‘પ્રજા વેદિકા’ને તોડવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો હતો. તેના પર પ્રશાસને મંગળવાર રાતે જ કાર્યવાહી શરૂ કરી દીધી છે. બુધવારે પણ બિલ્ડિંગ તોડવાનું કામ ચાલી રહ્યું છે. આ પહેલા ચંદ્રબાબુ નાયડુએ ‘પ્રજા વેદિકા’ને વિપક્ષના નેતાનું સરકારી આવાસ જાહેર કરવાની માંગણી કરી હતી પરંતુ સીએમ જગનમોહન રેડ્ડીએ આ માંગણીને ઠુકરાવી દીધી હતી.

‘પ્રજા વેદિકા’નું નિર્માણ સરકારે આંધ્રપ્રદેશ રાજધાની ક્ષેત્ર વિકાસ પ્રાધિકરણ (એપીસીઆરડીએ) દ્વારા તત્કાલીન મુખ્યમંત્રી આવાસ તરીકે બનાવ્યું હતું. પાંચ કરોડ રૂપિયામાં બનેલા આ ઘરનો ઉપયોગ નાયડુ સત્તાવાર કામની સાથો સાથ પાર્ટીની બેઠકો માટે કરતા હતા.

સીએમ જગનમોહન રેડ્ડીની બિલ્ડિંગ તોડવાના આદેશ બાદ વિપક્ષે કેટલાંક આરોપ પણ મૂક્યા હતાં. ટીડીપી નેતા અને વિધાન પરિષદના સભ્ય અશોક બાબુ એ કહ્યું હતું કે સરકારી કર્મચારીઓએ નાયડુનો ખાનગી સામાન બહાર ફેંકી દીધો.
