પોલીસે એક જૂની એમ્બેસેડર કારને અટકાવીને તલાશી લીધી હતી. પહેલાં તો કારની જડતીમાં પોલીસને કંઈ હાથ લાગ્યું નહોતું. પોલીસ પાછી જવાની તૈયારીમાં જ હતી કે એક જવાનની નજર હેડલાઈટ પર પડી હતી. આ જવાને એમ્બેસેડરની આગળની હેડલાઈન ખોલીને અંદર હાથ નાખ્યો તો આખો મામલો બહાર આવ્યો હતો. હેડલાઈનની અંદર નીકળેલી વસ્તુનો જથ્થો જોઈને પોલીસ પણ બેઘડી ચોકી ગઈ હતી.
પોલીસને એમ્બેસેડરની આગળની હેડલાઈટમાંથી બીજું કઈ નહીં પણ દારૂની 80થી વધુ બોટલો મળી હતી. ગુજરાતમાં તો દારૂબંધીના કારણે આ રીતે છૂપાવીને દારૂ લઈ જવાના કિસ્સા તો અનેક વાંચ્યા હશે, પણ આ ચોંકવનારો કિસ્સો ઝારખંડમાં સામે આવ્યો હતો.
આ મામલો ઝારખંડના ગોડ્ડા જિલ્લાનો છે. અહીંના પથરગામા પોલીસનેમાહિતી મળી હતી કે ગેરકાયદે દારૂનો જથ્થો ઝારખંડથી બિહાર લઈ જવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે. પોલીસે એમ્બેસેડરને અટકાવીને તલાશી લીધી હતી. પહેલા તો પોલીસને કંઈ હાથ લાગ્યું નહોતું. પોલીસે જેવી તલાશી લઈને પાછી ફરવા જતી હતી કે એક પોલીસ જવાનની નજરા કારની હેડલાઈટ પર પડી તો આખો મામલો બહાર આવ્યો હતો.
પોલીસે કારની હેડલાઈટ પર શંકા જતા તેને બહાર કાઢી હતી. પછી અંદર નજર કરી તો દારૂની બોટલો ગોઠવેલી હતી. હેડલાઈટની અંદરે બે-ચાર નહીં પણ પૂરી દારૂની 80 બોટલો સંતાડીને રાખી હતી. પોલીસે આ મામલામાં બિહારના મધેપુરામાં રહેતા રુદલ યાદવ નામના શખસની ધરપકડ કરી છે. પોલીસે દારૂના જથ્થાની સાથે એમ્બેસેડરને પણ જપ્ત કરી છે.
નોંધનીય છે કે ગુજરાતની જેમ બિહાર પણ દારૂબંધી છે. એટલે બૂટલેગરો દ્વારા બાજુના ઝારખંડમાંથી મોટા પાયે ગેરકાયદે દારૂ બિહારમાં ઘુસાડવાના કિસ્સા અવારનવાર સામે આવી રહ્યા છે.
