બિહારના નાલંદામાં નવા વર્ષ પર પતિએ પત્નીને જહેર આપીને મારી નાખી હતી. આરોપીએ પોતાની પત્નીને કહ્યું હતું કે, આજે પોતાના હાથે ખાવાનું ખવડાવશે અને ત્યાર બાદ જમવામાં જહેર મિક્સ કરી દીધું હતું. જેનાથી પત્નીનું મોત થયું હતું. પિયરવાળાઓએ આરોપ લગાવ્યો છે કે, પતિ લગ્ન બાદ સતત પૈસા માંગી રહ્યો હતો. ક્યારેક બાઈકના નામે પૈસા લેતો હતો તો ક્યારેક નોકરીના બહાને પૈસા માંગતો હતો. અત્યાર સુધીમાં 5 લાખ રૂપિયા લઈ ચૂક્યો હતો. ત્યાર બાદ પણ તેની માંગ પૂરી થઈ રહી નહોતી. આ સમગ્ર ઘટનાને લઈને પોલીસમાં ફરિયાદ દાખલ કરવામાં આવી છે.
ઘટના નાલંદા જિલ્લાના હરનૌત વિસ્તારની છે. યુવતીનું પિયર નગરનૌસાના હાજીપુર વિસ્તારમાં આવેલું છે. તેનો ભાઈ ચંદ્રકાંત ભારતીએ જણાવ્યું કે 2019માં બહેન ચાંદની કુમારીના લગ્ન લવનીત કુમાર સાથે થયા હતાં. બન્નેનું લગ્ન જીવન બરાબર ચાલી રહ્યું હતું. આ બધાંની વચ્ચે લવનીતના સાસરીવાળાઓ તરફથી લગ્નમાં કરવામાં આવેલ વાયદો યાદ આવ્યો હતો. લવનીત પત્નીને રોજ તેના વાયદા યાદ કરાવતો હતો અને પૈસાની માંગમી કરવા લાગ્યો હતો. ક્યારેક બાઈકના નામે તો ક્યારેક નોકરીના બહારને પૈસા પડાવતો હતો. ત્યાર બાદ ચાંદનીએ કહ્યું કે, તેના ઘરવાળા બહુ જ ગરીબ છે. તેની પાસે પૈસા નથી તે વાતને લઈ લવનીત બહુ જ નારાજ થઈ ગયો હતો.
ચંદ્રકાંતના જણાવ્યા પ્રમાણે, લવનીતને જ્યારે ખબર પડી ત્યારે સાસરીવાળા હવે પૈસા આપશે નહીં તો તેણે તેના પરિવારની સાથે મળીને હત્યાનું પ્લાન ઘડ્યો હતો. તેણે નવા વર્ષ પર પત્નીને કહ્યું કે તે પોતાના હાથે જમાડશે ત્યારે પત્ની ખુશ થઈ ગઈ. બન્નેએ બેડ રૂમ બંધ કરી દીધો અને પલંગમાં જમવા માટે બેસી ગયા. પતિ લવનીતે થોજીવાર માટે પત્નીને રૂમની બહાર મોકલી દીધી ત્યાર બાદ પોતાના ખિસ્સામાંથી એક પડીકું કાઢ્યું અને જમવામાં મિક્સ કરી દીધું પછી પત્નીને બોલાવીને તેના હાથે જમાડ્યું હતું. આરોપીએ પત્નીને ધીરે-ધીરે જમાડ્યું અને પોતે જમતો નહતો.
ચાંદનીને ભાઈ કૃતિમાનના જણાવ્યા પ્રમાણે, હાલમાં જ લવનીતે પૈસાની માંગણીને લઈ મારપીટ પણ કરી હતી. બહેન વારંવાર કહી રહી હતી કે સાસરીવાળા તેની એક દિવસ હત્યા કરી દેશે અને તેમણે મારી બહેનને હત્યા કરી નાખી. સમગ્ર ઘટના બાદ લહેરી પોલીસે મૃતદેહને પોસ્ટમોર્ટમ માટે મોકલી આપ્યો હતો. જેમાં જહેર આપવાની પૃષ્ટિ હોવાની વાત સામે આવી હતી.
