સૌરાષ્ટ્રના જામનગરના બે પાક્કા મિત્રોને ગંભીર અકસ્માત નડ્યો હતો જેમાં બન્ને પાક્કા મિત્રોનાં મોત નિપજ્યાં હતાં. બન્ને પાક્કા મિત્રોના મોત બાદ તેમના પરિવારજનોએ બન્નેની અંતિમયાત્રા પણ વાજતે ગાજતે કાઢી હતી જેમાં ડીજેના તાલે જીગરજાન મિત્રોના ગીતો વગાડતાં-વગાડતાં અંતિમયાત્રા કાઢવામાં આવી હતી. આ યાત્રા જોઈ દરેકની આંખોમાં આસું આવી ગયા હતાં. એટલું જ નહીં બન્ને પાક્કા મિત્રોને આજુબાજુમાં ચિતા ગોઠવી એકસાથે અગ્નિદાહ આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો તે સમયે કરૂણ દ્રશ્યો સર્જાયા હતાં.
જામનગરમાં ન્યુ સ્કૂલ પાસે રહેતા વિનય ધીરજલાલ પંચોલી અને તેના પાક્કા મિત્ર એવા ઓઝાના ડેલામાં રહેતા કેતન ઓઝા જે બન્નેનું એક દિવસ પહેલા રાજકોટ-અમદાવાદ હાઈવે રોડ પર સાયલા નજીક કાર અકસ્માત થયો હતો જેમાં બન્નેના ઘટનાસ્થળે જ મોત નિપજ્યું હતું. ત્યાર બાદ બન્ને પાક્કા મિત્રના મૃતદેહોને જામનગર લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા હતા પછી બન્નેની અંતિમયાત્રા પણ એકસાથે વાજતે ગાજતે કાઢવામાં આવી હતી.
ન્યુ સ્કૂલ પાસેથી વિનયની અંતિમયાત્રા કાઢવામાં આવી હતી અને ગોવાળ મસ્જીદ પાસે આવીને ઊભી રહી હતી. ત્યારે ઓઝાના ડેલા વિસ્તારમાંથી કેતન ઓઝાની સ્મશાનયાત્રા કાઢવામાં આવી અને ત્યાં સાથે જોડાઈ હતી અને બન્નેના અંતિમરથની આગળ ડીજે સિસ્ટમ મૂકવામાં આવી હતી.
બન્ને મિત્રોના પરિવારજનોની સહમતિથી પાક્કા મિત્રોને વાજતે ગાજતે અંતિમ વિદાય આપવામાં આવી હતી. એટલું જ નહીં અંતિમયાત્રામાં પાક્કા મિત્રોના સંબંધિત ગીતો વગાડવામાં આવ્યા હતા. આ અંતિમયાત્રામાં બંને મૃતકોના સગા સંબંધીઓ અને મિત્ર વર્તુળ બહોળી સંખ્યામાં જોડાયા હતા.
ડીજેના તાલે કાઢવામાં આવેલી અંતિમયાત્રા જામનગરના આદર્શ સ્મશાનમાં પહોંચી ત્યારે રાત્રિના નવ વાગ્યાના અરસામાં બન્નેની ચિતા પણ આજુબાજુ ગોઠવવામાં હતી ત્યાર બાદ બન્ને એકસાથે અગ્નિદાહ દેવામાં આવ્યો હતો તે સમયે ભારે કરૂણ દ્રશ્યો સર્જાયા હતા.
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, જામનગરમાં દિગ્વિજય પ્લોટમાં રહેતા વિનય ધીરજલાલ પંચોલી ધંધાકીય કામ માટે દુબઇ ગયો હોય ત્રણ દિવસ પહેલા પરત ફર્યાં હતાં. જેને કારણે તેમના પાક્કા મિત્ર કેતન ઓઝા તેમજ કૃણાલ, રવિ સહિત ચાર મિત્રો તેને કાર લઈ મુંબઈ તેડવા પહોંચ્યા હતાં. જ્યાંથી પરત ફરતા હતાં તે દરમિયાન સાયલા નજીક કારચાલક વિનયે કોઈ કારણોસર સ્ટેરીંયગ પરનો કાબૂ ગુમાવતા કાર ડીવાઈડર સાથે અથડાઈને પલટી મારી ગઈ હતી અને ગંભીર અકસ્માત સર્જાયો હતો. આ અકસ્માતમાં ઘટનાસ્થળે બે પાક્કા મિત્રોના મોત નિપજ્યાં હતાં.
