ભોપાલઃ મધ્ય પ્રદેશના બૈતુલ જિલ્લામાં એક એવું ગામ છે, જ્યાં પશુપાલકો દૂધ વેચતા નથી પરંતુ મફતમાં આપે છે. આ વાંચવામાં થોડું વિચિત્ર લાગે છે. જોકે, બૈતુલના ચુડિયા ગામના લોકો દૂધનો વેપાર કરતાં નથી. પરંતુ ઘરમાં ઉત્પાદિત થતું દૂધનો ઉપયોગ પરિવારની વચ્ચે કરે છે અને જો દૂધ વધારે હોય તો જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોને મફતમાં વહેંચે છે. આ ગામમાં કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ દૂધ વેચવાનું કામ કરતું નથી.
100 વર્ષ પહેલાં બાબાની વાત માનીઃ
ગામના પંડિત શિવચરણ યાદવે કહ્યું હતું કે ગામમાં 100 વર્ષ પહેલાં સંત ચિંદ્યા બાબા હતાં. તે ગૌસેવક હતાં અને તેમણે લોકોને દૂધ તથા તેમાંતી બનતી સામ્રગીનું વેચાણ ના કરવાની અપીલ કરી હતી. ગામના લોકોએ બાબાની વાત માની હતી અને ત્યારથી જ દૂધ વેચવાનું બંધ કરી દીધું હતું.
દૂધ ના વેચવું પરંપરાઃ
શિવચરણે આગળ કહ્યું હતું કે હવે દૂધ ના વેચવું ગામની પરંપરા બની ગઈ છે. લોકો એમ માનવા લાગ્યા છે કે જો દૂધનો કારોબાર કરવામાં આવશે, તો તેમાં નુકસાન જ જશે. ચિંદ્યા બાબાએ ગામલોકોને શીખામણ આપી હતી કે દૂધમાં ભેળસેળ કરીને દૂધ વેચવાથી પાપ લાગે છે. આથી જ ગામમાં કોઈ દૂધ વેચશે નહીં અને લોકોને મફતમાં દૂધ આપશે. સંત ચિંદ્યા બાબાની આ વાત પથ્થરની લકીર બની ગઈ છે.
40 ટકા આદિવાસી વસ્તીઃ
સ્થાનિક લોકોના મતે, ત્રણ હજારની વસ્તીવાળા ગામમાં 40 ટકા વસ્તી આદિવાસીની, 40 ટકા વસ્તી પશુપાલકોની છે. 20 ટકા વસ્તી અન્ય વર્ગની છે.
ગામના લોકો સ્વસ્થઃ
ગામના મુખ્ય ખેડૂત સુભાષ પટેલે કહ્યું હતું કે ચિંદ્યાબાબાએ દૂધ ના વેચવાની વાત એટલા માટે કહી હતી કે દૂધનો ઉપયોગ ગામના લોકો જ કરી શકે, જેથી તેઓ સ્વસ્થ રહે. ચિંદ્યાબાબાએ કહેલી વાત આજે પણ ગામના લોકો માને છે. જે ઘરમાં દૂધ થાય છે અને જેને દૂધ મળે છે, તે બંને લોકો સ્વસ્થ છે. ગામની પરંપરા છે કે દૂધ વેચી શકાય નહીં. જો દહીં બનાવવામાં આવે તો તે પણ વહેંચી દેવામાં આવે છે. જોકે, હવે યુવાનોએ ઘી બનાવીને વેચવાની શરૂઆત કરી છે.
દરેક ઘરમાં પશુપાલકઃ
વધુમાં સુભાષ પટેલે કહ્યું હતું કે ગામના લોકોનો મુખ્ય વ્યવસાય ખેતી છે, આથી જ દૂધ ના વેચવાથી કોઈ જાતની આર્થિક સમસ્યાનો સામનો કરવો પડતો નથી. આદિવાસી તથા પુશપાલો સિવાય પણ દરેક ઘરમાં એક ગાય કે ભેંસ હોય જ છે. તેથી તમામને જરૂર પ્રમાણેનું દૂધ મળી જ જાય છે. જેના ત્યાં વધુ દૂધ થાય તેઓ બીજાના ઘરે આપી આવે છે.

બૈતુલના અનુવિભાગીય અધિકારી રાજીવ રંજન પાંડેને જ્યારે આ અંગે સવાલ કરવામાં આવ્યો તો તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે ચૂડિયાં ગામમાં લોકો મફતમાં દૂધ વહેંચે છે, તે અંગે તેમની પાસે કોઈ માહિતી નથી.
