પ્રિયાંકે PGના ભણતરની સાથે 21 વર્ષની ઉંમરમાં UPSCની તૈયારી કરવાનો વિચાર કર્યો હતો. તેનું સપનું કલેક્ટર બનવાનું હતું. તેણે શરૂઆતમાં સેલ્ફ સ્ટડી પર ફોક્સ કર્યું હતું. તેણે કોઈ પણ કોચિંગ જોઈન કર્યું ન હતું.

UPSCની પરીક્ષાની તૈયારી દરમિયાન પ્રિયાંકથી એક ભૂલ નિબંધની તૈયારીમાં થઈ હતી. તે પરીક્ષા પહેલાં નિબંધ લખવાની તૈયારી માટે કોઈ પણ ટેસ્ટ સીરિઝમાં સામેલ થયો ન હતો. તેની સીધી અસર નિબંધ લેખન પર પડી હતી. તેમ છતાં તેણે પરીક્ષા પાસ કરી લીધી હતી.
