વિજયવાડાઃ દાન ધર્મ કરવું સારી વાત છે પરંતુ આજના સમયમાં દાનમાં લાખો રૂપિયા માત્ર મોટા ઉદ્યોગપતિ જ આપી શકે તેવી માન્યતા જોવા મળે છે. જોકે તાજેતરમાં એક મંદિરમાં એક ભિખારીએ 8 લાખ રૂપિયા દાનમાં આપ્યા હતા. ભિખારીએ 7 વર્ષ દરમિયાન ભીખ માંગી આ 8 લાખ રૂપિયા ભેગા કર્યા હતા. આ સાથે જ ભિખારીએ દાવો કર્યો કે તેણે જ્યારથી મંદિરમાં પૈસા દાન કરવાનું શરૂ કર્યું ત્યારથી તેની આવક પણ વધવા લાગી છે.
આ સમગ્ર ઘટના આંધ્ર પ્રદેશના વિજયવાડાની છે. અહીંના સાઈંબાબા મંદિરમાં 73 વર્ષીય ભિખારી યાદી રેડ્ડીએ 8 લાખ રૂપિયા દાનમાં આપી સૌને ચોંકાવ્યા હતા. યાદી રેડ્ડી આ મંદિર બહાર જ ભીખ માંગતા રહ્યાં છે, તેઓ માને છે કે તેમની આવક આ મંદિર થકી આવે છે અને તેથી જ તેઓ પોતાની આવકનો મોટોભાગ મંદિરમાં દાન કરતા રહે છે. તેમના આ કામથી મંદિરનું મેનેજમેન્ટ પણ ઘણું ખુશ થયું.
યાદી રેડ્ડીએ જણાવ્યું કે, ‘હું પહેલા 40 વર્ષ સુધી રિક્ષા ચલાવી પોતાનું ગુજરાન ચલાવતો હતો. જોકે મને પછી ઘૂંટણની સમસ્યા થવા લાગી. જે પછી હું મંદિર બહાર બેસી ભીખ માંગવા લાગ્યો. સૌપ્રથમ મે મંદિરને 1 લાખ રૂપિયા દાનમાં આપ્યા હતા. મારી તબિયત બગડતી તો પણ મને વધુ રકમની જરૂર પડતી નહોતી. તેથી હું પૈસા મંદિરમાં દાન કરી દેતો હતો. મે મંદિરમાં પૈસા દાન કર્યા પછીથી મારી કમાણી વધવા લાગી. લોકો મને ઓળખતા થયા અને પૈસા ભીખમાં આપવા લાગ્યા. જોકે એક દિવસ હું મારી સંપૂર્ણ કમાણી મંદિરને દાનમાં આપી દઈશ.’
યાદીએ મંદિરને દાનમાં આપેલા કાર્યો થકી મંદિરનું વિસ્તરણ કરાશે. જેમાં ગૌશાળા બનાવવા ઉપરાંતના અન્ય અનેક કાર્યો કરાશે. સોશિયલ મીડિયામાં આ ઘટના સામે આવ્યા બાદ લોકો યાદીની દરિયાદિલીની પ્રશંસા કરી રહ્યાં છે. યાદિએ આટલી મોટી રકમ દાનમાં આપી ઘણા લોકોને પ્રેરિત કર્યા હતા.
