કુલ્લુઃ હિમાચલ પ્રદેશના કુલ્લુમાં ગુરુવારે એક ખાનગી બસ 500 ફુટ ઊંડી ખીણમાં ખાબકી હતી. આ દુર્ઘટનામાં 43 યાત્રિકોનાં મોત નિપજ્યાં હતાં. જ્યારે 37 લોકો ગંભીર રીતે ઘાયલ થયા હતાં. પોલીસ અને તંત્ર દ્વારા રેસક્યૂ ઓપરેશન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ દુર્ઘટના કુલ્લુમાં બંજર વિસ્તારની પાસે ભેઉટ ટર્ન પાસે બની હતી.

કુલ્લુ એસપી શાલિની અગ્નિહોત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, બસમાં લગભગ 50 યાત્રીઓ સવાર હતા. બસ કુલ્લુથી ગાડાગુશેણી જઈ રહી હતી. એક વળાંક પાસે બસ લગભગ 500 ફુટ નીચે ખીણમાં ખાબકી હતી. જ્યાં દુર્ઘટના ઘટી ત્યાં નદી પણ આવેલી છે. ઘટના બાદ રેસ્ક્યૂ ઓપરેશન કરવામાં આવ્યું એ જગ્યાએ બહુ જ મુશ્કેલી પડી હતી. ઈજાગ્રસ્તોની પીઠ પર મૂકીને બહાર લાવવામાં આવ્યા હતાં.

આ દુર્ઘટના લગભગ 4 વાગ્યની બની હતી. રસ્તાનો આ વળાંક ખતરનાક છે જ્યાં બસને પાછળ લઈ ગયા બાદ જ ટર્ન મારી શકાય છે. ત્યારે આવા પ્રયાસ કરતાં બસ ખીણમાં ખાબકી હતી. 48 સીટવાળી આ બસમાં લગભગ 60 લોકો સવાર હતા.
