કાનપુરની ગુલમોહર રેસીડેન્સી એપાર્ટમેન્ટમાં મંગળવાર રાતે એક યુવતીનું 10માં માળેથી નીચે પડી જતાં મોત થઈ ગયું હતું. હવે પોલીસે આ મામલે ઘણાં ખુલાસા કર્યા છે. શહેરના કલ્યાણપુર પોલીસ સ્ટેશને તપાસ કરતાં સામે આવ્યું છે કે, મોડેલ ડેરીનો સંચાલક જ પોતાની પીએને કામની લાલચ આપીને ફ્લેટમાં લઈ ગયો હતો અને રૂમ બંધ કરીને તેની સાથે રેપ કર્યો હતો. જ્યારે યુવતીએ પોલીસને ફરિયાદ કરવાની ધમકી આપી તો તેને નીચે ફેંકી દીધી હતી.
પોલીસે જણાવ્યું કે, આ દરમિયાન યુવતીએ પોતાના એક ફ્રેન્ડને ફોન કરીને મદદ માંગી હતી. જેનું કોલ રેકોર્ડિંગ પોલીસને મળ્યું છે. બુધવારે આરોપી ડેરી માલિક વિરુદ્ધ રેપ, હત્યા અને છેડતીની કલમો લગાડીને ફરિયાદ દાખલ કરી તેને જેલ ભેગો કરી દીધો છે. મને બચાવી લો મારા બોસે મને ફ્લેટમાં કેદ કરી લીધી છે.
મને બચાવી લો મારા બોસ પ્રતીક વૈશ્યએ મને તેમના ફ્લેટમાં બંધ કરી દીધી છે. મારી સાથે હેવાનિયત કરી રહ્યો છે. આ વાત યુવતીએ તેના મોતની થોડિક મિનિટ પહેલાં પોતાના એક પરિચિતને મેસેજ મોકલીને કહી હતી. કોલ કરીને પણ કહ્યું હતું. તેનો ફ્રેન્ડ કંઈ કરી શકે તે પહેલાં આરોપી પ્રતીક વૈશ્યએ રેપ કર્યા પછી યુવતીને નીચે ફેંકી દીધી હતી.
પોલીસે કોલ રેકોર્ડિંગ અને મેસેજ સાક્ષી તરીકે તપાસમાં સામેલ કરી લીધા છે. એસીપી કલ્યાણપુર દિનેશ શુક્લાએ જણાવ્યું કે, પ્રતીક સાંજે 4.30 વાગ્યે યુવતીને લઈને કલ્યાણપુર સ્થિત ગુલમોહર રેસીડેન્સી ફ્લેટમાં પહોંચ્યો હતો. ઘટના લગભગ છ વાગ્યાની છે. આ દોઢ કલાક દરમિયાન બંધ ફ્લેટમાં પ્રતીકે પીડિતા સાથે બર્બરતા કરી હતી. પ્રતીક દારૂના નશામાં ધૂત હતો. આ દરમિયાન તેને તક મેળવી પીડિતાએ તેના એક પરિચિતને ફોન કર્યો હતો.
થોડીક સેકન્ડમાં જ કોલમાં પડિતા રડતાં-રડતાં બચવા માટે આજીજી કરતી હતી. એસીપી મુજબ કોલ દરમિયાન પરિચિત યુવકે એવું પણ સાંભળ્યું હતું કે, પીડિતા આરોપીની સામે કરગરતી હતી. પણ આરોપી બર્બરતા કરતો હતો. આ પછી પીડિતાએ એક મેસેજ પણ મોકલ્યો હતો.
પોલીસે પૂછપરછ કરતાં આરોપી પ્રતિકે પોતાનો ગુનો કબૂલ્યો છે. તેણે પોલીસને જણાવ્યું કે, 20 તારીખે યુવતીએ તેની આર્થિક તંગી અંગે જણાવ્યું હતું,. આ વાતનો તે ફાયદો ઉઠાવી 21 તારીખે સાંજે 4.30 વાગ્યે પ્રતીકે ઓફિસ બોલાવી યુવતીને લઈને પોતાના ઘરે જતો રહ્યો હતો. ઘરે પહોંચ્યા પછી તેમની યુવતીને કહ્યું કે, જો તે તેમની સાથે શારીરિક સંબંધ બનાવે છે તો સેલેરી કરતાં કેટલાય રૂપિયા વધારે આપશે. જ્યારે યુવતીએ આ વાતની ના પાડી તો પ્રતીકે તેનો રેપ કર્યો હતો.
પ્રતીકે આગળ જણાવ્યું કે, છોકરીએ પોલીસને ફરિયાદ કરવાની વાત કહી તો તે સમજાવવા લાગ્યો હતો. પણ તે કંઈ સાંભળવા માટે તૈયાર નહોતી. તે બહાર તરફ ભાગી તો મેં ગેટ બંધ કરી દીધો હતો. પછી તે બાલકની તરફ ભાગી મેં તેને સમજાવવાનો ખૂબ જ પ્રયત્ન કર્યો હતો. પણ જ્યારે તે માની નહીં તો તેને નીચે ફેંકીને હત્યા કરી દીધી હતી. યુવતીનું એપાર્ટમેન્ટના દસમા માળેથી પડી જતાં મોત મામલે બુધવારે બપોરે એક પેનલથી પોસ્ટમોર્ટમ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. પોસ્ટમોર્ટમની પ્રકિયાનું વીડિયો રેકોર્ડિંગ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. તો પોસ્ટમોર્ટમ પછી યુવતીના પરિજનોએ વળતરની માંગ કરી શબ લેવાની ના પાડી દીધી છે. પોલીસે ઘણી મુશ્કેલી પછી પરિવારને સમજાવી અંતિમ સંસ્કાર કરાવ્યા હતાં.
મૃતકની મોટી બહેને જણાવ્યું કે, લોકડાઉન પહેલાં મૃતક કાકાદેવ સ્થિત એક ઓપ્ટિકલ્સની શોપ પર નોકરી કરતી હતી. લોકડાઉન દરમિયાન નોકરી છૂટી ગઈ હતી. આર્થિક તંગીનો સામનો કરી રહેલી છોકરીને એક ફ્રેન્ડે નારામઉ સ્થિત મોડેલ ડેરીમાં વેકેન્સી હોવાની વાત કહી હતી. 18 સપ્ટેમ્બરે મેડેલ ડેરીમાં તેની નોકરી લાગી હતી. તેને 8 હજાર રૂપિયા મહિને પગાર નક્કી થયો હતો.
