નવી દિલ્હી: શનિવારે વહેલી સવારે ગોવાના ડીજીપી પ્રણવ નંદાનું દિલ્હીમાં કાર્ડિયાક અરેસ્ટથી મોત થયું હતું. તેઓ દિલ્હીના સત્તાવાર પ્રવાસે હતા. આઈજીપી જસપાલ સિંઘે આ માહિતી આપી હતી.
પ્રણવ નંદા 1988ની બેચના IPS અધિકારી હતા. નંદાએ આ જ વર્ષે ગોવાના ડીજીપી તરીકેનો ચાર્જ સંભાવ્યો હતો. નંદા અરુણાચલ પ્રદેશ, મિઝોરમ અને અન્ય કેન્દ્રસાશિત પ્રદેશ કેડરના આઈપીએસ અધિકારી હતાં.
જસપાલ સિંઘે ડીજીપીના મોત પર પ્રતિક્રિયા આપતા કહ્યું હતું કે, આ આઘાત પહોંચાડનારા સમાચાર છે. પ્રણવ નંદા દિલ્હી ખાતે સત્તાવાર મુલાકાતે હતા. શનિવારે વહેલી સવારે તેમને કાર્ડિયાક અરેસ્ટ આવ્યો હતો.
પ્રણવ નંદાના પત્ની સુંદરી પુડ્ડુચેરીના ડિરેક્ટર જનરલ ઓફ પોલીસ તરીકે ફરજ બજાવે છે. તેઓ બે દાયકા સુધી આઈબીમાં કામ કરી ચુક્યા છે. ત્યાર બાદ તેમના પુડ્ડચેરીના ડીજીપીનો ચાર્જ સોંપવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
