ગુજરાતમાં ફરી એકવાર ચોમાસું સર્કિય થયું હોય તેવું લાગી રહ્યું છે. ત્યારે આજે ગુજરાતના અનેક વિસ્તારોમાં વરસાદ મન મુકીને વરસ્યો છે. હવામાન વિભાગની આગાહી પ્રમાણે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, દક્ષિણ-ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં વરસાદે ધમાકેદાર બેટિંગ કરી હતી જેને લઈને ખેડૂતોમાં ખુશીનો માહોલ જોવા મળ્યો હતો. ત્યારે સાયક્લોનિક સરક્યુલેશન સિસ્ટમ સર્કિય થતાંની સાથે જ ગુજરાત અનેક વિસ્તારોમાં ધોધમાર વરસાદ વરસ્યો હતો. હવામાન વિભાગની આગાહી પ્રમાણે, આગામી 48 કલાકમાં સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના કેટલાક વિસ્તારોમાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદ તુટી પડશે.
હવામાન વિભાગના ડાયરેક્ટર મનોરમા મોહંતીએ વરસાદને લઈને જણાવ્યું હતું કે, સાયક્લોનિક સરક્યુલેશન સિસ્ટમને કારણે ગુજરાતમાં ધોધમાર વરસાદ વરસી રહ્યો છે. જોકે આગામી 48 કલાક કેટલાક વિસ્તારોમાં અતિભારે વરસાદ પડે તેવી વકી છે. મહત્વની વાત એ છે કે, 48 કલાક બાદ સિસ્ટમ નબળી પડી જશે.
2 સપ્ટેમ્બરે દાદરા નગર હવેલી,પોરબંદર, દ્વારકા, વલસાડ અને દમણમાં અતિભારે વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે. જ્યારે રાજકોટ, જૂનાગઢ, અમરેલી, ભાવનગર, ગીર સોમનાથ, બનાસકાંઠા, સાબરકાંઠા, ભરૂચ, સુરત, નવસારી, કચ્છ અને દિવમાં ભારે વરસાદની આગાહી છે. તેમજ ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં વીજળીના ચમકારા સાથે 30થી 40 કિલોમીટરના પવનની સાથે વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે.
3 સપ્ટેમ્બરના રોજ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના જામનગર, મોરબી, દ્વારકા અને કચ્છમાં ભારે વરસાદ પડે તેવી સંભાવના છે. જ્યારે અમદાવાદ જિલ્લામાં ભારે વરસાદની આગાહી હવામાન વિભાગે કરી છે, અમદાવાદ શહેરમાં સામાન્યથી મધ્યમ વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે.
પહેલી સપ્ટેમ્બરે સવારે છ વાગ્યાથી 10 વાગ્યા સુધી ગુજરાતના 21 તાલુકામાં એક ઈંચ કરતા વધારે વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે. જેમાં સૌથી વધારે વરસાદ તાલાલામાં છ ઈંચ નોંધાયો છે. માળિયા અને ઉનામાં ક્રમશ: પાંચ અને ચાર ઈંચ વરસાદ ખાબક્યો હતો. ગીર-ગઢડામાં પણ ત્રણ ઇંચથી વધારે વરસાદ પડ્યો છે.
