આસિસ્ટન્ટ કમિશ્નર રાહુલ નાંગરેએ કહ્યું હતું કે શારજહાથી આવેલી ફ્લાઇટમાં એક યુવક ચેકિંગ દરમિયાન થોડો ડરેલો હતો. તેની અલગથી પૂછપરછ કરવામાં આવી હતી. તપાસ કરવામાં આવી તો અંડરવેરની અંદરના પોકેટ તથા બેલ્ટ નીચેથી 1502 ગ્રામ સોનું મળી આવ્યું હતું. આ ઘટના જયુપર ઇન્ટરનેશનલ એરપોર્ટ પર બની હતી. આ યુવક જોધપુરનો છે. શારજહામાં તે કન્સ્ટ્રક્શન કંપનીમાં કામ કરે છે.
શારહજા એરપોર્ટ પર જ તેને એક યુવક મળ્યો હતો. તેણે આ પાઉચ તથા સ્ટ્રીપ જયપુર પહોંચાડવાની ઑફર કરી હતી. જો તે સહી સલામત જયપુર મોકલાવી દે તો ટિકિટનો ખર્ચ તે ઉઠાવશે તેમ કહ્યું હતું. ટિકિટના પૈસા બચાવવા માટે તેણે આટલું મોટું જોખમ લીધું હતું. એરપોર્ટની બહાર તેણે આ પેકેટ્સ કોને આપવાના હતા, તે તેને ખ્યાલ નહોતો. જે વ્યક્તિએ પેકેટ્સ આપ્યા તેણે એમ કહ્યું હતું કે એરપોર્ટની બહાર આવતા જ તે વ્યક્તિ તેની પાસેથી પેકેટ્સ લઈ જશે.
4 કલાક ભઠ્ઠીમાં પ્રોસેસ કર્યા બાદ શુદ્ધ સોનું કાઢ્યુંઃ આસિસ્ટન્ટ કમિશ્નર ભારત ભૂષણે કહ્યું હતું કે બેલ્ટની સ્ટ્રિપ ઉપરાંત પાંચ પાઉચ અંડરગાર્મેન્ટની અંદર બનેલા પોકેટમાંથી મળી આવ્યા હતા. આ પાઉચમાં પેસ્ટના ફોર્મમાં સોનું મળ્યું હતું. આ સોનું 1 કિલોને 800 ગ્રામ હતું. ગોલ્ડની પેસ્ટને ભઠ્ઠીમાં ગરમ કરીને પ્રોસેસ કરી હતી. 4 કલાકની પ્રોસેર બાદ શુદ્ધ સોનું નીકળ્યું હતું અને તેનું વજન 1502 ગ્રામ હતું.
