24 વર્ષીય મમતાએ દહેજ તથા પતિના મેણાટોણાથી કંટાળીને હાલમાં જ પિયરમાં સુસાઇડ કર્યું હતું. તેને સાત મહિનાની દીકરી છે. પતિ હંમેશાં મેણા મારતો હતો કે દીકરી તેની નથી. સાસરિયા દહેજ માટે મારપીટ કરતા હતા. આ જ કારણે તે ડિપ્રેશનમાં જતી રહી હતી અને ઝેર ખાઈને આત્મહત્યા કરી હતી. પોસ્ટમોર્ટમ બાદ શબને પેરેન્ટ્સને સોંપી દેવામાં આવ્યો હતો. પિયર પક્ષે જ મમતાના અંતિમ સંસ્કાર કર્યા હતા.
આ હચમચાવી દેતો બનાવ રાજસ્થાનના પાલી જિલ્લાના ફાલનનો છે. પોલીસના મતે, ફાલનાની ઈન્દિરા કોલનીમાં રહેતી મમતાના લગ્ન બે વર્ષ પહેલાં ફાલનામાં રહેતા નવલ કિશોર સાથે થયા હતા. નવલ કિશોર રેલવેમાં નોકરી કરે છે. મમતાએ બીએસસી બીએડ કર્યું છે. તે પિતાની જેમ ટીચર બનવા માગતી હતી. જોકે, નવલ હંમેશાં મેણા મારતો કે તે તેની દીકરી નથી. આથી જ મળવા આવતો હતો. મમતાના પિતાએ કહ્યું હતું કે સાસરીયા દહેજ માટે ત્રાસ આપતા હતા. અનેકવાર મારપીટ કરી હતી. અંતે દીકરીએ ત્રાસીને મોતને વ્હાલું કર્યું. પોલીસ આ કેસની તપાસ કરી રહી છે.
ત્રણ મહિનાથી પિયરમાં હતીઃ મમતા છેલ્લાં ત્રણ મહિનાથી પિયરમાં હતી. આત્મહત્યા કરતા પહેલાં તે પોતાના રૂમમાં ગઈ હતી. ઘરમાં તમામ લોકો હાજર હતા. લાંબા સમય સુધી તે રૂમમાંથી બહાર આવી નહીં. જ્યારે મમ્મી-પપ્પાએ બૂમ પાડી તો તે પણ તેને કંઈ રિસ્પોન્સ આપ્યો નહીં. જ્યારે તેણે રૂમનો દરવાજો ના ખોલ્યો તો તેઓ રૂમમાં ગયા અને જોયું તો મમતા બાન હતી. તેને હોસ્પિટલ લઈ જવામાં આવી અને ડૉક્ટરે મૃત જાહેર કરી હતી.
પતિએ સાથ ના આપ્યોઃ ફાલનાના માળી સમાજ છાત્રાવાસની પાસે રહેતા કાંતિલાલની દીકરી મમતા ભણવામાં હોંશિયાર હતી. બીએસસી કર્યા બાદ 2019માં તેણે બીએડ કર્યું હતું. 22 નવેમ્બર, 2019ના રોજ તેના નવલ સાથે લગ્ન થયા હતા. લગ્નના થોડો સમય બાદ જ સાસરીયા હેરાન કરતા હતા. મમતા ટીચર બનવા માગતી હતી. જોકે, કોચિંગ માટે સાસરીયાએ ના પાડી દીધી હતી અને કહ્યું હતું કે તેમને નોકરી કરતી વહુ નથી જોઈતી. બધું જાણવા છતાં પતિએ સાથ આપ્યો નહીં.
દીકરીનું મોં જોવા પણ ના આવ્યોઃ લગ્ન બાદ મમતાએ 2 ફેબ્રુઆરી, 2021ના રોજ દીકરીને જન્મ આપ્યો હતો. માતા-પિતાએ સાસરીયાને આ અંગે જાણ કરતી હતી. માત્ર 2 કિમી દૂર રહેતા સાસરીયા એકવાર પણ મમતા અને તેની દીકરીનું મોં જોવા આવ્યા નહોતા. જ્યારે પણ સાસરીયાને આવવાનું કહેવામાં આવતું તો તેઓ એવો જવાબ આપતા કે દીકરો જન્મ્યો હોત તો સારું. સાસરીયાના આ વલણથી મમતા દુઃખી થઈ ગઈ હતી. ડિલિવરીના બે મહિના પછી પણ કોઈ આવ્યું નહોતું. એક દિવસ નણંદના દીકરાની તબિયત ખરાબ થતાં તે મળવા ગઈ હતી અને પછી સાસરે ગઈ હતી.
