40 વર્ષ પહેલાં નદીમાંથી મળેલી એક તિજોરી આજે પણ રહસ્ય બનેલી છે. આ તિજોરી કેટલાય વર્ષોથી પોલીસ ચોકીમાં સચવાયેલી પડી હતી. તેનો કોઈ જૂનો રેકોર્ડ નથી કે નથી કોઈ માલિક. ચોકીમાં પડેલી આ તિજોરીને પોલીસ પણ ભૂલી ગઈ હતી, પણ હવે નવા પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં ચોકીનો સામાન શિફ્ટ કરવાનો થયો તો સ્ટોરમાં ધૂળ ખાતી આ તિજોરી જોઈને પોલીસ પણ ચોકી ગઈ હતી. તિજોરીના વજન અને બનાવટને જોતા એવું લાગી રહ્યું છે કે આમાં ખૂબ જ કિંમતી સામાન હોય શકે છે. જોકે જૂના રેકોર્ડ ન હોવાથી હવે કોર્ટ દ્વારા જ તેને ખોલવામાં આવશે.
રાજસ્થાનના અલવરમાં આજકાલ આ તિજોરી લોકોમાં ચર્ચાનો વિષય બન્યો છે. અલવર જિલ્લામાં કોટકસિમ તાલુકાનો આ કિસ્સો છે. અહીં એક નવું પોલીસ સ્ટેશન બનાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ સ્ટેશનમાં જૂની પોલીસ ચોકીનો સામાન શિફ્ટ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યો હતો ત્યારે જૂની પોલીસ ચોકીના સ્ટોરમાં એક તિજોરી પર બધાનું ધ્યાન ગયું હતું.
આશ્ચર્યની વાત તો એ છે કે આ પોલીસ ચોકીમાં અનેક પોલીસ ઈન્ચાર્જ આવીને ગયા, પણ તિજોરી સ્ટોરમાં હોવાની કોઈને ખબર નહોતી. જૂના લોકોએ આપેલી માહિતી પરથી એટલી ખબર પડી છે કે આ તિજોરી 40 વર્ષ જૂની છે. આ તિજોરી વર્ષ 1981માં આવેલા પૂરમાં સ્થાનિક સાબી નદીમાંથી મળી હતી. આ સિવાય તેનો કોઈ રેકોર્ડ રેકોર્ડ ચોકીમાં ઉપલબ્ધ નથી.
નવા પોલી સ્ટેશનમાં તિજોરીને શિફ્ટ કર્યા બાદ પોલીસના 38 એક્ટ મુજબ જપ્ત કરી રેકોર્ડ પર ચઢાવવામાં આવી છે. તિજોરી એટલી વજનદાર છે કે શિફ્ટ કરવા માટે ક્રેન બોલાવી પડી હતી. પોલીસે જણાવ્યું હતું કે તિજોરી લોખંડની છે અને ખૂબ વજનદાર છે. એકલી તિજોરીનું જ વજન એક ક્વિન્ટલ (100 કિલો)થી વધુ છે. તિજોરીની અંદર પડેલા સામાનનો વજન પણ એક ક્વિન્ટલ (100 કિલો) હોવાનો અનુમાન છે. જોકે અંદર શું છે તેનો કયાશ લગાવવો મુશ્કેલ છે. પણ તિજોરીની મજબૂત બનાવટ અને તેના ઉપયોગથી એ વાતનો અંદાજો લગાવી શકાય કે અંદર ઘરેણા અને રૂપિયા જેવી કિંમતી વસ્તુ હોય શકે છે.
તિજોરીમાં બે કડી છે. ઉપરની બાજુ લોક લાગ્યો છે, જેને ચાવી વગર ખોલી શકાય એમ નથી. હવે કાયદાકીય પ્રક્રિયા પૂરી કરીને આને ખોલવામાં આવશે. તિજોરીના માલિકી હકને લઈને પોલીસે એક સૂચના પણ જારી કરી છે. આ તિજોરીનો કોઈ રેકોર્ડ નથી, જેથી આખી પ્રક્રિયા કોર્ટ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવશે જો તિજોરીમાં ધન નીકળશે તો સરકારી ખજાનામાં જમા કરવામાં આવશે.

10 વર્ષ પહેલા આ જ પોલીસ ચોકીમાં એક નાની તિજોરી મળી હતી. જેને કાયકીય પ્રક્રિયા કરીને ખોલવામાં આવી હતી. જેમાંથી 156 ચાંદીના દુર્લભ સિક્કા મળ્યા હતા.
